Bread, cakes and Chapattis.  Just some of the ways to use our flour.

Traditional Chapatti making

BACK TO FAQs
Mrs Maman, one of the Mill's longest standing customers very kindly shows how Chapattis are made in the traditional way. If you are going to try this, please take care as Mrs Maman has been practising this for a long time!! Make sure you buy our Chapatti flour for this, the process of making Chapatti flour is the same as for bread flour, although it tends to be finer and is made using a lower protein wheat variety.  The key aspect though is that the flavour and nutrition is all retained to give a light and tasty Chapatti.

Bread, cake and pastry making

Whether by hand or in a bread machine, our strong wholemeal and natural white flours are perfect for making all types of bread.   Made with specially selected wheat from local farms, the flour is full of flavour and nutrition whilst having no preservatives or additives.  Our flour is particularly good for Sourdough making as the starters like not being disturbed by the additives found in many supermarket flours.

For a range of traditional bread, cake and pastry recipes you can buy The Traditional Corn Millers Guild Book of Recipes from the mill priced at just £3.50.  Or of course you can just use your own favourite or family special recipes.  We always love you to share your baking experiences with us.
